Some kind of mix of Yami from the first 7 books in the manga. I have a short fan fiction written out, but I want to illustrate it, or at least give it a title art. So, I'm trying to settle on how I should draw Yami. (I haven't decided yet.) The story takes place in the gap between Yugi completing the Millennium Puzzle to Yami facing Ushio (then a little after that). I've always wondered how Yami would have reacted, to awakening for the first time, with no memories. I also find it interesting that he immediately mentions Joey and Honda(Tristan) being his friends, when, technically, he hadn't actually met them yet. It made me think that, maybe, Yami had glimpses of Yugi’s memories, when he woke up. How else would he know that it was Ushio who beat up his host (Yugi)? And he acts as if he was the one that was wronged. It makes me think that Yami was aware of Yugi’s presence from the start. Anyway, I don't want to give away everything. When I finish it, I'll post it.
The reason he is holding the Millennium Puzzle, is because I had forgotten to draw it around his neck. By the time I realized my mistake, I had already finalized his buckled undershirt, and it would have been a pain to rework it. So, because the Puzzle is required for Yami to posses Yugi, I had him hold it. XD
