Random Comic is Random - 4/10/13

Just messing around. I didn't even get to the scene that I wanted to draw... Whatever.

Ok, type to translate this:
Panel 1: Luca is fighting Karab, and I guess he decided to turn into his transcendent form. (If you don't know what that is---> [link])
Panel 2: Karab knows he can't beat Luca in this state. He's rather flustered.
Panel 3: We cut out of that scene to see outside of the dimensional bubble that Luca and Karab are in.
Panel 4: We see Tasha and Jestloo watching expectantly. (There are others too) Tasha is worried about her husband.
Panel 5: Jestloo apologetically cuts her off and points out that something has changed.
Panel 6: Luca is floating down and the dimensional bubble is disappearing.
Panel 7: Luca touches ground. (I think this is my favorite. His feet look AWESOME!!)
Panel 8: Luca has this stupid, tired grin on his face. He also is normal now, indicated by his pupils returning.
Panel 9: Tasha embraces him. (Was lazy and just drawing for fun. So, the cheering crowd looks like a bunch of derped ghosts)
Panel 10: Luca quietly tells Tasha that they need to get inside before he goes unconscious.
Panel 11: An even more cartoony Jestloo guards the door of Luca's house, giving out apologies until next week.


Ok. To explain why Luca is about to pass out, and be gone for a week...

Luca is half spirit and half flesh. If he needs to, Luca can call upon his godlike powers and become Transcendent Luca. In this state, he is almost as powerful as the gods themselves. Trans. Luca's ultimate ability is to create dimensional "bubbles" that he has full control of. Meaning, if Karab is inside one, Luca can control anything he does, or constantly change the battle field against him. He can even drain and convert Karab's energy for his own uses.

Now, Luca is still half flesh. This causes him to be unable to retain this state for long, and becomes overwhelmingly exhausting. Being in Trans. form completely depletes Luca's extra energy, and even taps into his life energy. By the time Luca returns to normal, he must crash somewhere and recharge. Usually, Luca puts on a facade of being fine to keep the people at ease, and to trick any watching enemies. (Cause passing out in front of a crowd isn't ideal) As soon as Luca is out of public view, he almost immediately enters comatose. He will stay in a coma for about a week. During this period, he is extremely vulnerable. Jestloo usually guards him during this time.

Because of the vulnerability (and inability to protect others), Luca rarely uses this ability unless its absolutely necessary.


*Oh! Same thing happens to him right after fighting the gods, except, he's only out for the rest of the day.*


Now I hope this comic makes more sense now.
