Maximum Ride sketch - 11/28/12

Obviously, this is not my one of my characters. She is from James Patterson's Maximum Ride books. I read the manga versions.


I need some serious practice with drawing humans. (This turned out awesome though) It's been such a long time since I've mimicked a picture. That's how I first learned how to draw, but I used Pokemon. Anyway, I'm glad to see that my mimicking ability seems to have improved exponentially!

I love manga! I so badly wish I could draw in that style. It's like cartoony, but it's got detail and beauty. (Also, I could finally draw scary and ugly!) Since I need to learn how to draw my own humans, why not learn to do them in manga? It would certainly fit with the rest of my characters, and it could help improve my over all drawing ability.

I'm very proud of this sketch. Can't wait to unlock the secrets so that I can draw them without mimicking or using a reference all together.
