Description

I haven't drawn Luca in so long! I missed him so much...

Anyways, instead of me saying sorry, I had Luca do it for me. ;p The day and day after for the deadline where packed full with work. After that, it was procrastination and small guilt for being late.

The thought came to me when I was thinking how Steve mentioned he liked Jerry's comic with the character talking about their creator. (Yes, Steve, I stalk your messages... >.>) I started to imagine my characters doing the same, and Luca suddenly decided to finish my contest for me. (Which was nice of him. :meow:)

It was fun to draw Luca again. My favorite picture of him is the first one. It was the closest to how I imagine his expressions. (I have yet to get his expressions right. It's not that I'm expressing his moods wrongly, but that I'm not doing it "his way." Everyone's face expresses emotions in their own way. I've been playing as Luca for so long, that I know his personal quirks, but I have yet to learn to translate them into my art)

I don't know if I like Jestloo in the middle panel... He's cute, but he looks odd too.

I LOVE his bottom picture, though!
Not only is his attire AWESOME! (Courtesy of :icondragontygress:) But his body shape turned out so beautifully! He's tall and skinny, just the way I like it. :D
And the pose! I could hug him, he's so cute!
(Yes, I'm fan-girling over my own character...)

Did you know that this is the first time I've ever had my characters "break the 4th wall?"
Would any of you like it if they did this more often?

Luca and Jestloo belong to :iconjestloo:. Aka, me.

Haha, I've been waiting a LONG time for you to post this, so here comes a critique!

First off, I really enjoy the expressions and the personalities conveyed in this! The characters actually feel like characters, just by the way they're drawn and the way they act in the sketch. That is honestly how an artist should draw their characters, they should express who they are by the way they're drawn and not by what they wear or look like. It's what helps keep them from being one-note characters, and gives them depth.

I absolutely love the way you draw, it's very clean! The lineart is nice and smooth, no sketch marks, and if there are, there aren't a whole lot to distract from the picture. Your ability to do small but clean sketches is a type of feat in my honest opinion, it works really well and I don't know how you do it.

I know you love to do things on lined paper, but that's really the only problem I'd have with this. The lines distract from the artwork and don't look 'professional'.

Otherwise, a good deviation! 4.5/5
