Well, actually... She technically isn't human... (But she looks it, so it counts.) I haven't given her race an official name, but many tales of lore from the different tribes mention mystical beings that look like walking constellations. Her people live in a separate realm of reality than the other tribes. (Similar to how the Puknix and the gods dwell in their own realms.) While inside this realm, she looks like flesh and blood. But when her or her people are outside and in the physical realm, their bodies change into a cluster of mini stars. 

Her people are like the guardian angles of dreams. There is a castle suspended in the center of her reality where her people live. The most prominent section of the castle is The Hall of Dreams. There is a pedestal for every living person born on Kotian. Each with their name engraved on it. These pedestals reveal the aspirations and inner most desires of the individual while they are awake. When asleep, the pedestal shows their dreams. Each of her people are assigned an individual to watch over at night and guard their dreams while they sleep. When morning comes, they return to their realm.  Once a person dies, the pedestal disappears and is later replaced by one from a newborn. The guardian that watched over the owner of the old pedestal becomes the guardian of the new one. Elyse's race is a special kind of energy being. Like the gods, she can not be seen by mortal eyes. However, she can be seen by spirits and other energy beings. 

It is impossible for outsiders to enter the dream realm, without invitation from a native. The dream realm has its own reality apart from the physical realm. Anything one imagines becomes reality. Meaning, if someone imagined that they had wings, they would gain wings. And not any wings, but exactly as the person imagined them. Even if they where totally fictitious in design, making them impossible to fly in, they would still work. (The dream realm's reality is literally as described, like a dream. If the individual imagines they can fly, they will fly.) Said individual could even become another species. This ability only works for fleshies and energy beings, but not on spirits. Random changes in scenery happen all of the time in the dream realm. At one moment, the castle is suspended in the air. In another, it is submerged in water. The tribe can live in this environment without skipping a beat.

Luca also has a personal pedestal along with a guardian. However, Luca can't dream and has no true dreams or aspersions, since he was created with a set purpose. And because he is immortal, his pedestal remains empty forever. Elyse is his guardian. She stands by him every night, and each night, watches as nothing happens. 



Thats all for now. So, like the new race and their role on Kotia? I do, and I hope to show more of them later.
