Derygia sketch - 4/9/13

These big omnivores are the Kotian's equivalent of a horse (in use, but they move like an ostrich) Farmer Kent is well known for breeding these working class animals. Derygia are stubborn, smart, fast, strong, and enduring. They also seem to have a sense of humor, constantly laughing at their frustrated owners.

The spikes on their cheeks have poison glans in them. Usually, the spikes are pliable. If threatened, they stiffen and begin secreting venom. Derygia's arms are practically useless, but they can be taught to hold objects during travel. Their legs are powerful, and can kill with one swift (and well placed) kick. Derygia are social creatures and like to "talk" to other Derygia, and sometimes other animals.

Their favorite treats are candy shrooms. They can learn/do anything just to get one.
