Luca: *cough* "Bullets!? He's got-" *hack* "-bullets?"

Luca as a Galactic Space Ranger.  The Ranger part of the timeline is set in a futuristic setting. Lasers are now the modern weapon power. So, Luca is surprised that someone is using bullets.

Luca takes on more damage from bullets than laser fire. Lasers cleanly cut and cauterize blood vessels. Burn damage can be easily and quickly regenerated. Bullets rip tissue, cause internal bleeding, and displacement of organs. There is also a possibility of the bullet not leaving the body. This further complicates the regeneration process. Luca must remove foreign objects from his body in order to fully recover.

Edit: Typically, if Luca were wearing the entire Galactic Space Ranger attire, he would have been much better protected against bullets (even laser fire, for that matter). But, due to Luca's loathing for clothes, he only wears the necessary jacket. (Which he always keeps unzipped.)

Realized that I haven't been drawing as much lately. So, I shot Luca for everyone. Don't worthy, he'll be alright. ;p To be honest, I'm trying to draw my characters doing or reacting to something. I've done enough generic poses. Also, you people should know that I don't draw blood and gore often (or hardly at all), but Luca Stories is supposed to be a mix of action and humor. Not to mention that I have this thing for realism in my fantasy, so I need to practice more with this subject. Don't worry, though, it's not meant to get over the top.

Anyway, I'm fairly new to drawing blood. So, how'd I do? Is it accurate for the situation?

Luca and the InterGalactic Space Rangers belong to me. :iconjestloo:

Poor Luca!

This is actually super interesting! I mean it's gory and he's getting shot for goodness' sake but still
i like it
Critique-wise, I think the blood is very good!!! Except at this point, I don't think any blood/spittle would be coming from his mouth in this exact moment. I also don't know if that's how a person bends when shot, so if you haven't already maybe it'd be a good idea to research a little on that?? I dunno haha.
But yeah, the blood looks great!
and I'm really impressed with his fingers for some reason xD
